AWAKE
As you rise in the morning, your eyes open, and you become “awake.” Many individuals dread the morning and having to work through their day. So, when do you actually become awake?
Stop.
Let’s start over.
The alarm goes off, it’s early, and you wake before the sun. What do you do? Step out of bed immediately, drink a full glass of water, and take a large breath in. How does it feel? Your thirst is quenched. Your feet are planted. And your body is full of oxygen and ready to take on another beautiful day in your life.
The next step.
Your eyes are open as are your lungs and your heart. Go find a nice quiet place.
Pause.
Meditate.
Find a comfortable position and just breathe. Think about how your breath travels through your body and how fully aware you are in the present. If a thought enters your mind, thank it for coming and allow it to exit swiftly. Repeat for five to ten mins.
Next.
Stand up.
Create or read affirmations. Who and what do you want to become? Say it out loud. Align your soul with your goals.
Pause.
Visualize.
Now, close your wonderful eyes and open your mind to your own personal movie theater. You said out loud what you want to do, now we accomplish it. Build your movie from start to end reassuring yourself that you are capable.
Open.
Exercise
Heart rate, up. Consider what your needs and objectives are and elevate your heart rate through exercise. Build yourself. Exert yourself.
Stop.
Read.
Take a few deep breaths. Your mind is ready. Your focus is enabled.
Sit down and begin to read. Grasp the concepts and learn. Understand and evaluate what you can take away from this reading time.
Pause.
Scribe.
Grab a notebook or your technological device and jot down your thoughts. Whatever comes to mind. Take the floating thoughts in your mind and place them back on the shelf between the lines of your writing.
Breathe. Thank yourself. You are taking the time to develop and change what your potential is and how you will be successful.
